LODGE 246 CHAPTER 770  CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI 54729

August 2026  VOLUME 79  ISSUE  7

 President’s Comments

Hello Everyone:  Here is a quick update on the kitchen front. We’ve had a contractor come in and  check things out, and we are waiting for them to get back to us. We have another  coming in a few days and waiting for responses from other inquiries. Will update  as things hopefully start to take shape.

Paula and I attended the 138th International Moose Convention in Oklahoma City. It  was a nice experience, and I would recommend going to one if you have the  opportunity. One of the things I got out of it is that all lodges have their  challenges, from keeping membership up, keeping the social quarters busy, and  getting people to work together. I remain optimistic about our Lodge. There is  definitely room for improvement, but I’ve been seeing more people working  together and the camaraderie is improving. I’d like to see more people enjoying  the Lodge again. And in case no one has told you, thanks for what you do, no  matter how big or small it is important.

There are a couple of Wisconsin Moose Association events coming. The Camp  Ross trip from Monroe Lodge is August 28th-30th. There is a flyer in the Lodge.  Also, the 110th Annual Convention is going on September 10-13th in Stevens Point  at the Holiday Inn and Convention center. Anyone can attend. Information is on the  Wisconsin Moose Association web page.

Be safe enjoy what’s left of the summer.

Fraternally,

Jeff Amundson, President
